Essex County Council Elections - Thursday 4th May
The County Council Division of Rochford South extends from roughly Rochford town centre across to Barling & the Wakerings to Foulness. The Labour Party Candidate is Mark Daniels and he can be contacted by leaving a message on 01702 619868 or emailing Mark.Daniels@southendlabour.com
Mark says, "Since being selected as a candidate I have met with residents in many parts of this County Council Division.

People feel that our communities are under threat from closures and cuts.

Essex County Council too often neglects this part of Essex, as can be seen by the appalling state of some of our roads and pavements.
New housing is being built in Rochford and Wakering and planning permission has already been given for more. Yet the Tories are not investing in schools, health services, roads and other services that our communities need. This is unfair on local residents. Since these new developments have already been granted permission, the authorities need to act now to provide the necessary services. Mark will fight for a fair share of resources to make sure that local people don't lose out.

I will fight for a fair share of resources and do my best to support the local businesses and charities that keep our area going. I know that people are worried about the threat to local health services, and the future of Southend Accident & Emergency Facilities. Whilst this may be in Southend, Essex County Council still has a lot of influence and that should be used to make sure local people have access to good quality health services.

I hope you will support me ion the election on Thursday 4th May."

Mark lives locally with his family, works as a train driver and is an active trade union member.
